Apartment Sessions

Evan was a co-creator, sound designer and musician in the Brooklyn based multimedia artist collective that was Apartment Sessions. AS created bi-monthly videos of live music performances in alternative spaces, usually their small apartment. Created by a group of four friends, they produced almost 100 videos over four years of output. They also toured as a recording orchestra across the Eastern US and in Iceland, recording in caves, lighthouses, and the outdoors. Evan was the lead recording, mixing and mastering engineer for the project and also contributed arrangements, original songs, production design and technical direction.

In 2018 we raised $30,000 to take 40 musicians to Iceland for 10 days of recording, eating, driving and sometimes sleeping.

Apartment Sessions Season 2: Episode 5 -- Empire Liquor Mart (9127 S. Figueroa St.) featuring Gabriel Kahane On March 16, 1991, thirteen days after the Rodney King beating, Latasha Harlins was shot and killed during a dispute over a bottle of orange juice. She was fifteen. Her killer received no prison time.
